The Village Panchayat Parra is situated in the Bardez (Taluka) of North Goa District. It is situated 4km away from sub district headquarters Mapusa and 15 km away from district headquarters Panjim. Asper the 2011 census the population is 4449, with 2174 male and 2275 female population. The Panchayat consist of 7 wards and has 7 elected representatives (male-4, female-3.There are 1067 households in all. The population of SC’s is 43 and that of ST’s is 9.

On the health front the village has one sub health centre, a private Polyclinic and a Pharmacy. The main hospital is just 5 kms from the Village Panchayat building. This village is famous for its locally grown watermelons.

1 Britto Vaddo, Part of Salis vaddo
  • A newly improved Ganesh Idol immersion pond is located in this ward.
  • The topography of this ward includes fields and our local farmers cultivate locally grown vegetables and watermelons.
  • Two celebration halls are located in this area which go by the name "The harmony hall" and "The Alva Mar" - which is now been converted into a Beer museum.
2 Almeida and Carrasco vaddo
  • Lingabhat (Mahadev Temple) is situated in this area.
  • Many people are involved in paddy cultivation and beans.
  • Guest houses and hotels are located in this area.
  • Ganesh Idol immersion pond is also located in this area.
  • A mini market in this area caters to the bread and butter of the locals of the wards which fall under the jurisdiction of Our lady of Piety chapel.
3 Bokechi Aradi and Gama vaddo
  • The scenic beauty of the forest accompanied by the fields on its eastern side adds the much needed charm to this ward.
  • Three water harvesting cum recharging ponds are located in this area.
  • Devsan, a holy and sacred place, is located in this area.
  • Many people are involved in paddy cultivation, watermelon farming and cultivation of beans.
  • Many well known and famous chefs are the residents of Bokechi Aradi.
  • Scenic Portuguese style houses are located in this area
  • Hindu crematorium is situated in Bokechi Aradi
  • A sacred cross is housed on the hill of Bokechi Aradi wherein the locals due to scarcity or delayed rainfall come to pray to this cross.
4 Part of I. Arradi and Fondac Vaddo
  • St Anne’s Church is located in this area.
  • The Village football ground is located in this area.
  • A sub-health centre in this area.
  • Ganesh immersion pond is also located in this area.
  • This ward is also surrounded by lush green fields and hills of this beautiful village.
5 Part of Salis Vaddo, Silva Vaddo, Mudda Vaddo
  • Sister Christobel trust, one of our oldest orphanage is located in this area.
  • This ward also accomodates an iconic sports ground on which the age old kazari akwar match is being played
  • Our Lady Piety Chapel is located in this area.
  • One Anganwaddi/balwadi is located in this area.
  • A sizeable population of migrants resides at Mudda Vaddo.
6 Lobo Vaddo and Bhatti Vaddo
  • Government primary school is located in this area.
  • A gymnasium and fitness centre is located in this area which is supported by our honorable MLA.
  • A Ganesh immersion pond is located in this area.
  • World-famous coconut plantation view/madanni along the roadside leading to St. Ann’s Church attracts thousands of tourists.
7 Jackni Vaddo
  • A polyclinic is located in this area, which also houses a pharmacy.
  • A Ganesh temple and hall are situated in this area.
